Recently, two school-enterprise collaborative science education events were successfully held at Nantong SPT Laser Technology Co., Ltd. Students from Rudong Juegang Primary School and New District Junior High School visited the company with their teachers and parents, experiencing the wonders of laser technology firsthand. Jointly organized by SPT Laser and the two schools, with support from the Rudong Ecological Environment Bureau and Juegang Sub-district Office, the events aimed to spark teenagers' interest in science and technology through practical engagement, planting the seeds of innovation.
The activities were meticulously designed with five engaging segments: exhibition hall tour, laser application demonstrations, an interactive laser knowledge workshop, assembly of laser-cut models, and a hands-on laser obstacle remover device experience. The entire program was educational, well-paced, and lively.
Upon entering the SPT exhibition hall, the children were immersed in an imaginative world of technology. Guided by staff explanations, they learned about the wide-ranging applications of SPT's laser products across various fields such as industry, healthcare, and scientific research.
Arriving at the wall displaying invention patents, the children paused in awe at the numerous innovative achievements. Within this strong atmosphere of scientific research, their interest in exploration was further ignited.
During the live operation segment, SPT staff demonstrated the complete processes of laser marking and cutting. As wisps of smoke rose, an intricate replica of the "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" painting was gradually engraved onto paper by the laser, drawing exclamations of amazement from the children. They gathered around the cutting machine, witnessing wooden boards being precisely sliced into puzzle pieces, gaining a more intuitive and profound understanding of the speed and accuracy of laser processing.
In the laser workshop, a SPT presenter explained laser principles in a simple and fun way. The children listened attentively and interacted actively, creating a relaxed and lively classroom atmosphere. Subsequently, during the hands-on session, they followed instructions to assemble laser-cut wooden pieces into elegant pen holder models. The completed works filled each child with a sense of accomplishment.
The climax of the event was the remote balloon-popping experience using the laser obstacle remover device. The children operated the equipment themselves, accurately bursting balloons to retrieve surprise gifts inside. Laughter intertwined with the sound of popping balloons, making the technological experience immensely fun.
The two-hour exploration event was rich in content and diverse in form. The children not only witnessed the magical power of laser technology but also gained a deeper understanding of the innovative spirit behind "Made in China."
